Partnering with AmeriCorps and CitySquare to provide service opportunities, career exploration and professional development
Readers 2 Leaders is a host site for AmeriCorps members serving through CitySquare. Readers 2 Leaders offers service opportunities for AmeriCorps members during the school year and over the summer. AmeriCorps members receive both a living stipend as well as an education award for their service. Members are also provided with opportunities for continued education and professional development during their term of service.
2023-2024 AmeriCorpS Opportunities:
Members serve 20-22 hours per week
Members serve in our After-School Program and must be available 3-6pm (Monday-Thursday)
Additional hours are also served on Fridays
Term:
September 5, 2023 - May 24, 2024
Responsibilities:
acting as a mentor & role model
assisting with after-school program preparations and activity planning
leading hands-on art, STEM, and social-emotional learning activities
leading computer lab sessions
working with students in small groups and one-on-one
homework help
Compensation:
$6,750 Living Allowance
$2,626 Education Award
