Dallas’ Newest Literacy Hub
Readers 2 Leaders is moving— and growing!— to expand our ability to address Dallas’ early literacy needs!
R2L’s new home and updated brand represents our achievements so far and the hope we have in the future of our organization, students, and community.
Our new logo honors R2L’s past while demonstrating our commitment to future growth in the new space. Books composed of our original red and orange create a circle that is at once unfinished and full. The unattached book is both leaving and joining the circle, just as students come to Readers 2 Leaders and then depart with on-level reading: ready to lead and ready to fly.
In August, we’re turning 10 with a new building and a fresh look— but our mission remains unchanged: to develop and grow the reading skills of underserved Dallas children.
We have offered over 2,000 students the high-quality, high-dosage support they need to reach on-level reading. This year, we’ve taken the bold strides necessary to expand and deepen our impact within the community.
Well before the pandemic, Readers 2 Leaders had plans for a new facility, and in August 2020, we moved into our new home with the support of our generous donors.
We launched our Capital Campaign in late 2019, with the goal of $497,000. Since then, R2L has successfully raised just over 90% of our goal. We thank all of our generous donors who have made this building not just a dream but a reality to all the children we serve in West Dallas!
At its full capacity following the COVID-19 pandemic, the building will operate as Dallas’ newest literacy hub, bringing key resources to our students, families, and partner organizations. The facility features:
A larger, updated library
Flexible office spaces to train R2L Coaching partners, run volunteer orientations, and host community meetings
More programmatic areas with A/V capability to improve tech-based learning
Three larger programmatic spaces to provide effective tutoring and fun, educational activities for students and host special events for families

We are so close to reaching our goal, and you can help us close the gap! Your support today will prepare the space for when students begin returning for Summer Camp 2021.
For nearly 10 years, R2L has offered critical services to fill the gap on reading in our community. Now, you can help us fill the gap on our Capital Campaign!
