At Readers 2 Leaders, we help striving students strengthen their literacy skills and support them on their academic and life paths! We envision a Dallas where all children have the tools they need to access their full potential.
Until third grade, students are learning to read; after third grade, they are reading to learn. Once a student is behind in reading it can seem impossible to catch up. But if we can reach striving students early in their school careers and provide the support they need to accelerate their learning, they will thrive!
Through small group instruction, one-on-one support, and engaging activities, students learn the foundational phonics and comprehension skills they need to understand everything they read.
Readers 2 Leaders worked with over 1600 students in the 2022-2023 school year.
Extra support and practice are critical to accelerating student learning and helping them access grade-level work in their classrooms.
Our After-School students receive four hours of additional reading tutoring per week, and In-School students receive at least two hours of tutoring per week. Our summer camp students benefit from six weeks of reading and enrichment.
